I have been practicing Tomiki-style (competitive) aikido martial arts for over 15 years.  I received my black belt in 2005, second degree black belt in 2008, and third degree black belt in 2016.  I am the Tournament Director of the Tomiki Aikido of the Americas board of directors.  I have been an active aikido competitor, participating in tournaments and seminars around the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Japan.  I have represented the United States in seven international tournaments, was the women’s U. S. national champion 2010-2018, and was the all-around tournament champion at the U. S. Nationals in 2018.  I trained with four internationally renowned sensei in New York, before returning to my home state of Florida in 2011.  I have been the sensei of three dojos in New Britain, Connecticut, Yulee, Florida, and Sarasota, Florida.
